Emoji Lite App Reviews

These are fun but just not large enough on the screen to see the details. They should be the same size as the text being used.

Emoticon size can be adjusted to font size which is nice, though some detail is lost with smaller sizes. Kind of annoying to need the application to run to insert emoticons. Would be very helpful if they could be embedded in other applications, or that the directory file is made available so other application add-ons can find them. Nice to have, but not very efficient to use them in e-mails or word documents.

The biggest problem with this app is the way it works. It tries to copy an emoji to your clipboard and then paste into the field you’re working in. But most of the time the copy part fails, which results in the app pasting whatever you copied previously to the clipboard e.g. text, a URL, etc. A good idea poorly executed.

When I select an emoji in the menu, instead of inserting the emoji at my cursor, it pastes the current contents of my clipboard... so no emoji. Also, the menu has this weird message "Get Access to all 840 Emoji" -- apparently some emoji are excluded from this app? Who knows which ones, though.

The app is not very user friendly on my MacBook Pro. Also I would like to know why the American Flag is not a choice. That is just all wrong. Michael

this is very good it works with twitter I tried to post a tweet and the emoticone appeared in all mac iPad and iPhone the only disadvantage is that it takes time to post the emoticone I wish if there was an ability to add a shortcut for the emoticons it would be great ! thanks

Edit>Special Characters>Emoji I have OS Lion 10.7.2 and its on my computer anyways. Just go to Edit, Special Characters, and click Emoji.

The emojis offered are OK, but there are some emojis that my friends on iOS devices use that I cant see on my Mac. And it needs more of a variety, its fun to use the emojis and what not BUT they do NOT work on web apps like twitter and facebook. HOWEVER they do work on twitter apps. In conclusion, the emojis will only work via apple apps.

AFTER downloading this app, I open to find that you do NOT have access to all 460 emoji icons as described above. The description claims there is access to all 460, which is a big LIE. Luckily because this is a free app, its not really all that big of a deal, however, it was a huge waste of my time and just very frustrating. It should absolutely include the information that you have to purchase the full version to have access to all of the icons. So anybody who thinks they just scored 460 free emoji icons, think again and look at the full version or just know you only have some choices. And its also a good idea to check and see if you do already have these on your mac, apparently there are many of the newer ones that do, but if you do not, then just know that they conveniently left out some important limitation info for the lite version.

Yes, my Mac has them on their special characters place, but with Emoji installed, its right there on top. BUT… and this is a biggie - if youve just copied something to paste it somewhere else, its still in your system, and the first Emoji icon that you place in a note, Tweet, etc., will paste that old item, not the icon. GRRRR…. so you have to do it twice and pay close attention to whats actually in your message.

you can just go to System Preferences/Language & Text/Input sources and click on keyboard & character viewer. there should be an icon that pop out on the top of your screen you will just need to click on it and click show character viewer go down to emoji and there should be all the emoji that they are trying to make you buy.

Easy to install and use.Great way to to liven up your messages.

mojis have been updated on every platform but the MAC, please update the emojis on the MAC.
